Creek Between Dillon Road and Cherry Street."
Proper publication and notice of public hearing were
established.
Hundley stated that the project developers requested
that the public hearing on Ordinance #948 and #949
be continued to allow ample time to complete all
necessary information needed for this hearing and
also allow staff 1time to complete final negotiations
with Coal Creek Associates. "We are in substantial
agreement regarding the terms of the annexation and
what remains is, in essence, some dotting of the is
and crossing of t:he t's." Hundley recommended that
the public hearing be opened and Council initiate a
motion to have it continued until February 16, 1988.
Mayor Fauson openesd the public hearing and stated
that anyone wishing to speak on the issue who may be
unable to return f`or the next meeting may speak at
this time.
Anderson and Sackett asked to be excused so as to
avoid any possible conflict of interest. Mayor
Fauson excused them from the proceedings on both the
annexation and zor.~ing ordinances for Coal Creek
Ranch.
John Leary, 1116 I~aFarge, asked to speak at this
time. Mr. Leary stated that although he is
supportive of a golf course in Louisville, several
private sector consultants studied this issue and
determined that a golf course could not make enough
money at this times. Leary also questioned the City's
use of a portion of service expansion fees as a
backup for securing bonds.
Although Pat Hornbostel signed a card to speak, he
stated that he will come back to the next meeting
since the public hearing will be continued to that
date.
Mayor Fauson stated that with no other persons in
the audience wishing to speak at this time, he asked
Council for a motion.
Mohr moved that the public hearing on Ordinance #948
be continued to the February 16, 1988 Council
Meeting. Szymanski seconded. By Roll Call Vote,
the public hearing for Ordinance #948 was continued
until the February 16, 1988 Council Meeting. The
Vote was 5-0-2 with Anderson and Sackett previously
excused from the proceedings.
3
