Carlson stated that the same spirit of <br />cooperation among Louisville, Superior, Broomfield, <br />Boulder and Boulder County in their agreement <br />regarding the alignment of W-470 should be utilized <br />in the consideration of the annexation of this <br />parcel. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS Mohr stated this afternoon Louisville, Broomfield, <br />Superior and prime. sector land owners and other <br />interested parties met to finalize a proposal to the <br />W-470 Authority regarding the location of the W-470 <br />Interchange and U.S. 36. Also, all parties <br />including the City and County of Boulder agreed that <br />the 88th Street location would be recommended to the <br />W-470 Authority which meets tomorrow to hopefully <br />finalize that consensus. Mohr stated that the <br />lesson learned from this is that all the parties had <br />an opportunity to :become involved in that dialogue <br />and came to the conclusion that each juridiction's <br />respective interests were well represented and <br />respected. <br />Mayor Fauson stated that he had a brief meeting with <br />one of the trash haulers in Louisville and several <br />suggestions were made including using extra wheels <br />during alley runs and the altering of schedules to <br />allow empty trucks to access refuse in the alleys <br />and proceed to street pickups as the trucks fill and <br />become more weighted. Further negotiations will <br />take place and a survey will be conducted by the <br />City in hopes of saving the alleys and not disrupt <br />alley service. <br />Mohr stated that this issue <br />calls from his constituents <br />consensus is that t;here mus <br />the complete elimination of <br />the alleys.
