things you can do iri an Agricultural Zone without
going through the development process. You have
to decide when you etraw the line."
Mayor Fauson comment:ed that he would support
Councilman Szymanski. that he cannot support this
proposition at all. The noise from the vehicles
and the crowd, traffic and PA system would create
more noise than would be acceptable.
Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing.
Mr. Geitzenauer asked to address Council stating
that this request wa.s for only five days ending
about 9 p.m. because the track would not be
lighted. He appreciates the concerns of the
public and Council, but feels that this limited
request would give their effort a chance for
everyone to decide if, in fact, it would be a
workable situation.
Mayor Fauson moved that the Amendment to the Pow
Wow Use be denied. Carnival seconded.
Sackett stated that he favored this public hearing
to see if there might be a way to help Mr. Schempp
with this land. Sackett would be happy to help
him in his attempts to bring some use that would
be acceptable. "I regret that I am not going to
be able to support it this evening, but I hope
that someday you'll find a venture that I can
support because I would like to do that."
By Roll Call Vote, the motion to deny the request
by the applicant was unanimously carried.
RECESS Mayor Fauson thanked everyone participating during
the public hearing for their comments and called a
ten minute recess.
RESOLUTION #14 - SUBDIVISION AND PUD - CHRIST THE SERVANT
LUTHERAN CHURCH Wanush explained that McStain Enterprises, Inc. is
requesting the subdivision of approximately 3.5
acres of land south of the intersection of Via
Appia and Tyler Avenue for the construction of a
church which will be surrounded by residential on
the south, retail/office on the southeast, and
single family residential on the northwest across
Via Appia. The Church construction will be
phased. Christ the Servant Lutheran Church is
requesting a PUD (and Special Review Use) on the
3.5 acre subdivision. Planning Commission
reviewed this in public hearing and recommends
approval.
8
