"It does <br />not jeopardize our citizens in any way <br />financially." <br />Council is being requested to adopt Resolution <br />#18, Series 1988, which sets forth a public <br />hearing for May ~s, 1988. <br />Mayor Fauson moved and Mohr seconded to adopt <br />Resolution #18, ~>eries 1988, setting forth a <br />public hearing fc-r May 3, 1988. Unanimous. <br />PERMIT FOR LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCE - <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING Ferris stated that the applicant, Mr. Lambrecht of <br />659 W. Dahlia, is requesting approval of a permit <br />for a live musical performance in a residential <br />neighborhood for a graduation party on June 4, <br />1988 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. The City's Municipal <br />Code, Chapter 9.40, outlines specifically the <br />requirements of the applicant and the criteria <br />upon which the City Council shall either approve <br />or deny the request. The applicant has included <br />1) a complete description and diagram of the <br />property where the music will be performed, <br />location of entrances and exits, parking <br />facilities for guests and restroom facilities; 2) <br />the time of the performance, 3) number of members <br />in the musical group and instruments that will be <br />played; 4) description of sound amplification <br />system; 5) description of crowd control; 6) <br />designation of people responsible for organizing <br />and put on on performance, and 7) estimate of <br />number of people who will be attending. The <br />applicant is also requesting that Harding Ct;, <br />adjacent to the property, be closed for the event. <br />Council must set <~. public hearing and all property <br />owners within 200 ft. of the site must be notified <br />by mail. An application fee of twenty dollars has <br />been collected. Staff if requesting a public <br />hearing for May 3,, 1988 to consider the live music <br />permit and street closure. A complete staff <br />report will be prespared and presented to Council <br />at this hearing. <br />Council related concerns regarding the blocking of <br />Harding Ct. Ferris stated that staff is preparing <br />comments in response to these concerns and other <br />matters that shou7Ld be addressed at the public <br />hearing. <br />6 <br />
