Mohr moved that staff be authorized to amend the <br />Urban Flood District Agreement for Drainageway D. <br />Szymanski seconded,. Unanimous. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO OBTAIN BIDS - WASTEWATER LABORATORY <br />EQUIPMENT Phare stated that included in the original scope <br />of project for the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />expansion was laboratory equipment and furniture. <br />To keep costs to a minimum during the bid process <br />and to avoid contractor's overhead on furniture <br />and equipment, it was decided to eliminate this <br />material from the :bid. At this time, the Public <br />Works Department i:s requesting permission to bid <br />the laboratory equipment and office furniture in <br />order to furnish tYie new Lab. The existing lab <br />equipment will be ~~utilized as much as possible. <br />Once bids are received, a bid evaluation will be <br />conducted and a bid. award recommendation forwarded <br />to Council for their consideration. The estimated <br />cost is $15,000 - $18,000. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that staff be authorized to <br />obtain bids for lak~oratory equipment to be located <br />at the Wastewater Treatment Lab. Unanimous. <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING - GEORGE OIL 3.2 BEER <br />APPLICATION Ferris stated that George Oil Company Inc. <br />submitted an application for a 3.2$ packaged beer <br />license. George Oil is located at 947 Pine where <br />they recently expanded their existing business as <br />a convenience/self--serve gas operation and wish to <br />sell 3.2~ beer. Staff recommends a public hearing <br />be set for May 19, 1987, and at that time <br />determine the need:> of the neighborhood. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that the 3.2$ beer application <br />submitted by George' Oil Company Inc. be set for a <br />public hearing on May 19, 1987. Szymanski <br />seconded. Unanimous. <br />UPDATE - WATER STORAGE <br />FACILITY Hundley explained ghat on April 15th the Boulder <br />County Planning Commission reviewed the City's <br />site application fc>r the Treated Water Storage <br />Tank located on 66t:h Street near Marshall Lake. <br />The application wars recommended for approval and <br />will be reviewed by the County Commissioners on <br />May 7, 1987. Staff' has solicited proposals <br />from several engineering firms. Hundley asked <br />that this project k>e discussed in depth at a <br />Council Work Session prior to further action. <br />Mohr recommended tlZat the Work Session be held on <br />Wednesday, April 29th. <br />10 <br />
