05/19/87
Mohr: "I feel bad that I can't make a decision
tonight, but I personally don't feel that I can
because I don't have a grasp on some of those
items and the fact that we have a different
proposal in front of us that I haven't had a
chance to read." "I certainly don't mean for that
to be mistaken as dragging my feet." "Our
responsibilities as elected officials...is to look
out for the best interests of the people of the
City of Louisville...and I need clarity...before I
can conscientious]'_y make that decision."
Mayor Fauson asked staff to address Mr. Stahl's
concerns.
Wanush explained how a formula was derived to
determine the 100 3/4" water taps needed for the
site stating that at each PUD, staff will re-
examine these numbers and make adjustments up or
down where necessary. Staff's recommendations are
that recoveries should be made to Homart.
Sewer recoveries and the formula for which the
amount were determined was explained by Wanush.
The issue of actual recoveries to Homart should be
determined by Council.
In speaking to the issue of road improvements,
Wanush stated that the widening of Dillon to four
lanes as traffic warrants is specified in Homart's
Agreement. The fact that the development of the
Health Park will bring about that need is a
subject of equity.
Mohr suggested that as stated by -Wanush, the
equity of widening Dillon is an issue that in an
effort to be consistent, fair, etc., Council
should look at thatt issue carefully.
Mayor Fauson asked questions with regard to
drainage. Phare stated that the detention of
water is being provided for within the agreement
and is in accordance with City policy. Any future
variances from that would have to be approved at
the various PUD stages.
Szymanski stated that in light of the fact that
there is a great deal of information to absorb and
understand with this subdivision request, it is
his recommendation that the Resolution be tabled
until which time a Work Session can be held to
discuss each item in detail so that Council is
satisfied with their action.
8
