WATER BOND ISSUE - 1ST READING - <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #933, "An <br />Ordinance authorizing the issuance by the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado, of General Obligation Water <br />Bonds, Series 1987, in the principal amount of <br />$2,980,000 for the purpose of providing financing <br />for the City's acquisition and construction of <br />certain improvements to the City's municipal water <br />system; prescribing the form of said bonds; <br />providing for the levy of ad valorem taxes and the <br />application of revenues derived from the water <br />system of the City to pay the same; providing other <br />details in connection therewith; and declaring an <br />emergency." Permission is being sought to place the <br />Ordinance out for publication and public hearing set <br />for August 18, 1987. <br />Hundley explained that the issuance of these bonds <br />would enable the City to construct a new 2.8 mgd <br />treated water storage tank as well as several <br />related projects. <br />The City's Financial Advisor, Russ Caldwell of <br />Kirchner Moore Inc., explained the bond process and <br />the insurance obtained for the bonds through <br />Financial Guaranty Insurance Company. <br />Mayor Fauson moved ghat Ordinance #933 be place out <br />for publication and a public hearing set for August <br />18, 1987. Unanimous. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD BID - CIP CONCRETE REPLACEMENT <br />PROJECT Phare explained that on July 28, 1987, bids were <br />received for the 1987 Concrete Replacement Project. <br />B.G. Concrete Co. Inc, submitted the low bid of <br />$7,362 and staff recommends awarding the bid to B.G. <br />Concrete and authorize the PUblic Works Department <br />to execute a Change Order for additional work to the <br />project in an amount not to exceed $2,638. <br />Mayor Fauson moved t:o award B.G. Concrete the bid of <br />$7,362 for the City's 1987 Concrete Replacement <br />Project.
