Flatiron Paving submitted the low bid of $16,808.40. <br />Public Works staff lhas reviewed the bid and found it <br />in order and recommends the bid to be awarded to <br />Flatiron Paving. <br />Mohr moved that Flatiron Paving be awarded the <br />contract for the water treatment plant site paving <br />project at their low unit bid of $16,808.40 and <br />authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to sign contract <br />documents on behalf of the City. Anderson seconded. <br />Unanimous. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD BID - CEMETERY IRRIGA'T'ION <br />PROJECT Lillo explained that construction bids for the <br />Louisville Cemetery irrigation system project were <br />opened on Tuesday, ,July 28, 1987. Columbine <br />Landscape & Sprinkler was the low bidder at $19,779. <br />Award of the irrigai~ion system contract will <br />complete the cemetery waterline and irrigation <br />system renovation and will permit more effective and <br />efficient irrigation care of cemetery grounds, plus <br />help reduce annual nnaintenance and manpower costs <br />of the cemetery operation. Staf f recommends award <br />of bid to Columbine Landscape & Sprinkler and also <br />requests authorization to execute a change order in <br />the amount not to exceed $3,336 for additional <br />materials and labor to modify the proposed system to <br />address associated nnaintenance easement problems on <br />cemetery property. The City's CIP identifies <br />$29,440 for the rep]Lacement of the cemetery <br />irrigation system. Proposed bid award and change <br />order request total $23,115. <br />Mayor Fauson moved •that Columbine Landscape & <br />Sprinkler be awarded the contract for the Louisville <br />Cemetery irrigation project at their low bid of <br />$19,779 and authorize Community Services staff to <br />execute a change order in the amount not to exceed <br />$3,336 for project modifications. Mohr seconded. <br />Unanimous. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO SET PUBLIC HEARING - LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION - <br />GENTLEMAN JIM'S <br />BAR & GRILL Ferris stated that i~he applicant, Mr. James Hayden, <br />is requesting appro`Tal of a Restaurant Liquor <br />License for his new restaurant business in the Cen- <br />tennial Center. ThE~ restaurant, Gentleman Jim's <br />will be opening sometime in October. Mr. Hayden's <br />application is in order and appropriate fees have <br />been paid. "Needs of the neighborhood" petitions <br />will be circulated and submitted to Council prior to <br />the recommended public hearing date of September 15, <br />1987. <br />5 <br />
