Mayor Fauson moved that a public hearing be set for Gentleman Jim's Restaurant Liquor License for September 15, 1987. Mohr seconded. Unanimous. INFORMATION ONLY - DENVER WATER BOARD RE-PAYMENT Phare informed Council that in the winter of 1984 and 1985, the City of Louisville borrowed water from the Denver Water Department in order to meet winter water demands. Arr<~ngements with Denver required the City to pay back 390 acre feet in the summer of 1986 and 1987. 198Ei pay back was accomplished with no difficulty. As of Thursday, August 13, the City of Louisville will Izave completed all paybacks to the Denver Water Department by fulfilling it's 1987 pay back requirement. Completion of this payback frees up 390 acre feet of water for the City's use in future years. TYie payback of the water has presented no difficulties to Louisville and has not effected our supply for either 1986 or 1987. UPDATE - CIP PROJECTS Phare updated Council on several City projects. South Boulder Road .is essentially finished and seeding will take place within the next two to four weeks. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion is on schedule. Completion may be as early as the end of September. Water Storage Tank project is out to bid and bid award should be back to Council by the next meeting. Drairiageway D detention project is nearly finished and completion should be mid- September. Chip sealing has begun on City streets. STREET CLOSURE REQUESTS Two requests for street closures were presented by Mayor Fauson. Mayor Fauson moved that the Regal Street closure be approved. Szymanski seconded. Unanimous. Mayor Fauson moved that the Lois Way closure be approved. Mohr seconded. Unanimous. Mayor Fauson directE~d staff to devise a form/application for these types of requests and to standardize criteria for street closures. JOHN'S PLACE LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWAL Ferris explained that Mrs. Patricia A. Stephens, owner of Johns Place', submitted the renewal applica- tion for the tavern liquor license Monday, August 18, 1987. Mrs. Stephens had submitted the applica- tion to the State without prior Council approval. The State returned t:he renewal application and ad- vised Mrs. Stephens to submit same to the local liquor authorities. Mrs. Stephens informed Ferris that she was not aware of the proper procedure and asked to have the application considered at tonight's 6
