bounds of the economics and plans that have been
set. Unanimous.
RESOLUTION #28 - REAFFIRMATION OF THE IDRB ISSUE -
CENTENNIAL CENTER PARTNERSHIP PROJECT
Rautenstraus read in its entirety Resolution #28,
"A Resolution reaffirming an intention to issue
Industrial Development Revenue Bonds for the
Centennial Center Partnership Project."
Hundley explained that in November of 1985, the
Louisville City Council approved Resolution #27,
1985, which served to induce the issuance of
IDRB's for the construction of the Centennial
Center Project located at the corner of Cherry
Street and McCaslin Blvd. In order to ensure that
IDRB's are available for this project from a
state-wide allocation, the City Council must
reaffirm this prior- commitment for the project.
Mayor Fauson asked. if Dave Stahl, of Homart, the
owner of the propez•ty, could comment on the status
of the project. (The developers were unable to
attend the meeting.) Stahl stated that to his
knowledge the project will begin by mid-June as
the bulk of the center has now been leased.
Hundley stated that at the time the City takes
action on the ordinance for the bonds, Centennial
will be present to answer questions.
Mayor Fauson moved that the Council approve
Resolution #28 reaffirming the IDRB's issue for
the Centennial Center Partnership Project. Mohr
seconded. Unanimous.
RESOLUTION #29 - CHERRYWOOD SUBDIVISION AND PUD
Rautenstraus read in its entirety Resolution #29,
"A Resolution approving a final subdivision plat
and PUD for Cherrywood Subdivision."
Wanush stated that RB Development is requesting
the subdivision of approximately 37 acres located
north of Cherry Street and west of the Heritage
Subdivision. This :140 lot subdivision is located
in Parcels J and N of the Homart Development. The
required 12$ land dedication was satisfied with
Homart's conveyance of the recreation center site,
but this did not presclude the possibility of a tot
lot being required in Parcel J. The tot lot and
drainage area are shown as Tract D on the Plat.
Planning Commission recommended approval of this
subdivision.
4
