approval through the City thereby reducing the <br />processing time from 90 days down to 60-45 days <br />for the applicant. <br />In response to Szymanski's question regarding the <br />potential problem identified by staff, Stahl <br />stated that he felt this could be mitigated at the <br />time the proposal(s) are made. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that Council approve Resolution <br />#42. Szymanski seconded. Unanimous. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT Rautenstraus explained that this agreement <br />indemnifies the City of Lafayette from any damages <br />caused by the City of Louisville in the <br />implementation of the joint community block grant <br />program with the two cities. Because the cities <br />are sharing equally in the project this agreement <br />seems appropriate. The City of Lafayette signed <br />the agreement with the State as the applicant <br />(lead City ) f or the Block Grant. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that Council authorize <br />execution of the CDBG indemnification agreement. <br />Scarpella seconded. Unanimous. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENTS - NORTH LOUISVILLE TRUNK <br />SEWER EASEMENTS Hundley explained that in addition to the <br />information in the packet, Phare distributed <br />a revised packet regarding this issue. <br />The City of Louisville is in the process of <br />bidding the North Louisville Interceptor Sewer <br />project. In order to construct a sewer, it is <br />necessary to obtain easements across privately <br />owned property. To this end, the Public Works <br />Department and the City Attorney have Negotiated <br />with property owners for sewer line easements <br />necessary to install the sewer as planned. The <br />cost for these easements will be funded from the <br />sewer line construction line item of the <br />wastewater fund. <br />This is a project that will provide for the <br />advancement of a sewage lift station in the north <br />Louisville area. It will provide convenient and <br />ready sewer service for the recently rezoned <br />property at the intersection of Highway 42 and So. <br />Boulder Road. <br />At the time of this meeting, staff was unable to <br />obtain the final language for the easement across <br />the Foster property. However, recent meetings <br />indicates that an agreement can be reach and <br />6 <br />
