Junge stated that, in a conceptual way, they have envisioned minor
drainage ponding on all sites, which will be part of the master
drainage plan. The improvements underneath McCaslin Boulevard are
sized to handle it. It ends up in the southeast corner of the
property and goes along Centennial Apartments.

Mayer wondered about the height of the minor tower.

Junge: It's a one-story gazebo at this
stage.

Hornbostel felt that there were too many uses on the property. She
was concerned about the Post Office traffic with the location of
the building in the middle of the development.

Davidson stated that he would rather see the Post Office stay
downtown and didn't feel it was appropriate for this site. He
didn't feel the gas station, convenience store, or car wash were
appropriate for B-O zoning.

Mayer moved that Council forward this Preliminary Subdivision Plat
and PUD Development Plan on to the Planning Commission with Council
con~ents. Seconded by Sisk. All in favor.

RESOLUTION NO. 4 AND RESOLUTION NO. 5, SERIES 1994 - RECOGNIZING
THE SERVICES OF COUNCILMEMBERMARGARET HORNBOSTELAND COUNCILMEMBER
LA~Y HEDDING

Davidson read and presented Resolution No. 4 to Margaret
Hornbostel. Hedding had previously received Resolution No. 5.
Davidson listed some of Hornbostel's many accomplishments: the
first new park in Louisville in over a decade, a instigator on the
Ethics Ordinance, she worked on the Parks Master Plan, and the
City's growth management policy, which are just some of the many
things Hornbostel worked on.

Hornbostel spoke of her enjoyment in serving the City of
Louisville, its citizens, and how much she appreciated the City's
staff and fellow Councilmembers.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Lathrop moved that Council adjourn into executive session for the
consideration of the value and strategy for the possible
acquisition of park land. Seconded by Howard.

Davidson stated the request is to include attendance by Tom Phare,
Public Works Director, and Sharon Asti-Caranci, Finance Director,
and[ the two Councilmembers elect.

Lathrop agreed. Seconder, Howard, agreed.

18
