F. Approval of RMC to conduct Water Distribution
and Supply Study
G. Approval of Change Order #2 - Marshall Lake
H. Approval of Pay Estimate #3 - Sluice Gate -
Jicinsky Construction
I. Review of Grosso's Liquor License
J. Waiver of PUD for Blue Parrot
K. RFP Information for Telephone System
PUBLIC COMMENTS None.
RESOLUTION #29
BETTER AIR CAMPAIGN Rautenstraus read Resolution #29 declaring
November 15 thru January 15, 1985, as the Metro
Denver Peak Air Po]_lution Season and encouraging
Louisville residents to leave their cars at home
on high pollution days. The Resolution was passed
and adopted this 19th day of November, 1985, by
Mayor and City Council.
ORDINANCE #871 -
JUDGES SALARY -
PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #871,
"An Ordinance amending Chapter 2.32 of the
Louisville Municipal Code increasing the salary of
the Municipal Judge." The Ordinance was properly
published as was notice of the Public Hearing.
Hundley explained that the adopted budget
incorporates an increase in the Municipal Judge's
salary from its current level of $240/mo. to
$600/mo. Ordinances #871 would enact this increase
into law commencing January 1, 1986.
Fauson stated that "it is inappropriate to give
one person a raise primarily because his workload
has increased. His workload did increase and so
did the police department's, but all of the other
employees in the City workload increased when we
reduced the amount of people employed by the City
and they had to take up the slack. I don't think
its fair to give one person a pay increase and not
the others."
Luce stated that he would support the ordinance
because all City employees are receiving a raise
in 1986 and the issue is primarily the nature of
the job which has changed. A City employee would
likely be reclassified should the nature of the
job change. The Judge does not fall within a
similar structure but should be receiving
compensation.
Mayor Meier asked for any public comments in favor
of or in o~ppositio:n to Ordinance #871. None.
2
