(current zoning land uses) <br />o Street Improvements. Additional signal at Cannon and Kaylix on South Boulder <br />Road. Staff had a transportation consultant look at it. There are benefits and <br />drawbacks. The signal can work from a traffic perspective but will cause <br />additional delay, and timing will be tight. If there is an accident, there could be a <br />breakdown of these intersections and significant delays. On the other hand, it <br />provides additional access to developments on either side. It will be easier and <br />safer to make turns off South Boulder Road into developments. It will provide a <br />parallel connection to Highway 42 so traffic can move from north to south without <br />accessing Highway 42. Proposed Kaylix will connect to Baseline in the north and <br />to the DELO project in the south. It will provide a safe pedestrian crossing with a <br />new signal. There are two other signals planned that are included in the Highway <br />42 Gateway Plan adopted a few years ago. One is at Hecla and the other is at <br />Cannon Circle on Highway 42.
