with site that's catty-corner from
it.

Scott:

That's correct. We have done
several hundred liquor stores in
this exact same setting. In this
immediate neighborhood there are
three major grocery stores. Where
the store is located, the left turn
patterns, preference for shopping
needs, etc., definitely enter into
that. In Aurora we put two 7-11's
across the street from each other.
They both have been operating
successfully for over ten years.
There are two intersections in the
metropolitan area that have three
liquor stores. One on each corner.
With this Center establishing
itself, they will draw people from
six to eight miles away. There will
be a substantial influx into the
neighborhood. As a result of that
the other stores will be able to
maintain their typical retail sales
and more customers will be brought
in.

Howard:

I would like to see some data that
supports that contention. That's
certainly an important point if it's
demonstrable.

Davidson asked if anyone in the audience wished to question Mr.
Scott.

Fyne:

Mr. Scott, you said that the
neighborhood in question is
Louisville that you are applying
for?

Scott:

Correct.

Fyne:

Anybody going to that shopping
center either traveling eastbound on
South Boulder Road?

Scott:

They would be if they came from
Louisville.

Fyne:

So they have to pass an entryway to
another liquor store 200 yards from

23
