Bristol:

ft. privacy fences.

Is there any distance between my
property line and their property
line or does their property line
butt up to mine?

Franklin:

It abuts it directly.

Lin Daly, 1420 Fillmore Place, Louisville, CO, spoke about the type
of soil that exists under the proposed subdivision and about
erosion. She stated that several neighbors hired a civil engineer
to talk about the soils and discuss erosion. They found out that
City staff does not have a report of the soil test that was made by
the developer. The developer is the only one who has the report.
About a year or less before Sheffield tested the soil Pulte tested
the soil, she had called the Planning office and they told her that
Pulte had refused to build there, because of soil problems. She
stated that that was what she was told by the Planning staff. The
developer will not be here, when the problems occur. She commented
that in Hillsborough West they have had streets that have collapsed
and had to be repaired and about 10 days ago they had a water main
break. It was suggested to them that it was due to shifting soil,
since the pipes had only been there 14 years. She stated that the
people who will pick up the bill is the City and the taxpayers and
she is a taxpayer. She commented that the engineer said that there
are hills on the south and on the west of this development that no
homeowner is going to take care of. They are too steep, too hard
to take care of, and they're below the house, so they're not going
to care. She felt that as long as their house doesn't fall down
the hill, they are not going to the expense to take care of the
erosion that might happen on those hillsides. She went on to say
that there is a detention pond in the southeast corner, which could
fill with silt from erosion. She wanted Council to consider
requiring the developer, if this land is going to be developed, to
have a two (2) phase erosion control plan.

Kim McCloskey, 1491 N. Fillmore Place, Louisville, CO, was
concerned about the overcrowding of the Louisville schools. She
didn't want her children bussed to another school, simply because
a development is approved. She felt the Comprehensive Plan did not
consider the educational needs of the children of Louisville.

Colleen A. Miller, 651 Tamarisk Court, Louisville, CO, living at
the northwest end of this development, below the first set of lots.
She explained that she was also speaking on behalf of her neighbor,
Martha Powell, who lives at 650 Tamarisk Court. They are very
concerned about the heights, because from their backyards they will
be looking at the top of houses that are 60 ft. above them. They
feel the steep slopes will not be maintained. They felt that these
houses will not blend with the other houses in the Hillsborough
West subdivision. She explained that they are anti-development,

18
