The initial
effort is to specifically list those
that are considered wild and exotic.
The list is fairly common, in terms
of use, in other communities in
Colorado. As additional problems
arise, Council could consider adding
to the list or expanding the
definition.

I didn't see any mention of birds of
prey.

They aren't included in here and the
way this is written, they would not
be prohibited.

I feel that endangered birds of prey
should be part of this ordinance,
because one of the pressures placed
upon those animals is their capture
and redistribution.

I'm concerned with, under
Definitions, letter H, item 1,
Running at Large. I'm concerned
that if we become overly restrictive
with these ordinances, we'll
effectively make them unenforceable
and punish people who really aren't
doing anything wrong.

I feel humans should not be afraid
of other animals in the area, when
they are walking down the street. I
don't want to be so binding and the
laws to be so constraining that they
are not enforced.

One alternative would be to revise
the language in H1 to say .... "the
animal must be under the direct
physical or voice control of the
owner, or must be contained within
or restricted by a fence or other
means."

I would like to add "adult" owner.

I think you need language in here
that allows the Code Enforcement

5
