Louisville City Council Meeting <br />July 1, 2003 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />The City Attorney requested an Executive Session for consultation with respect to claim <br />for a refund of the Community Investment Fee. City Attorney Light reported the request <br />for executive session is pursuant to C.R.S. 24.06.402 4 (b), of the Open Meetings Law, <br />authorizing executive session for discussion of litigation. <br /> <br />City Clerk Nancy Varra read Section No.2.90.050 - Public Statement, of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code, which governs the topics that can be discussed in executive session. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that Council go into executive session to discuss a claim <br />for refund of a Community Investment fee, seconded by Sisk. All in favor. Brown absent. <br />Council went into executive session at 7:59 p.m. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS RECONVENED <br /> <br />Davidson called the meeting back to order at 8:17 p.m., and asked City Attorney Light to <br />report on the executive session. Light stated at the executive session Council discussed a <br />potential litigation, a claim for a refund of a portion of the Community Investment fee. <br />The City Attorney received direction from City Council with respect to the claim. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light reported on the closing of the two properties located on Spruce <br />Street, and noted the subdivision process is complete and the City owns the properties. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reported on the following: <br /> · A pre-qualifying meeting for bidders on the Louisville Police building. 28 Pre- <br /> Qualification Statements submitted; eight qualified for the project. Bids go out on <br /> Thursday, July 3; bidders have until July 25 to respond. <br /> · One vacancy on each of the following boards and commission: Board of <br /> Adjustment, Board of Appeals and the Arts & Humanities. Five applications have <br /> been received. Staff will schedule interviews one hour before the study session. <br /> · Council members availability for the August 5, 2003 Council meeting. Agenda <br /> items include: awarding bids on Police building; second reading of the ordinance <br /> for the Ballot questions and certification for the November election. Several <br /> members of Council not be available. Staff will review various options including <br /> scheduling a special meeting. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager for Governmental Relations Heather Balser reported on a three- <br />month delay of Comcast's high-speed Internet service. She explained due to technical <br />issues, the service would not be available until late summer or early fall. <br /> <br />Sisk asked that the citizens be advised as to the delay of the high-speed Internet service, <br />by announcement in the Louisvi'lle Times, and in the City's Web Site. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
