Hedding:

Nuszer:

I'm very familiar with these kinds
of developments. I believe you have
a serious problem with your layout.
It affects the City. As I look at
your plan, I'm wondering how you
intend to remove the snow? If
you're going to plow it and push it,
where are you going to push it to?
You've placed parking areas at the
end of many alcoves and blind alleys
or driveways. If you were to push
the snow into that area and there is
a car there, you can't push it in
there. You've made it almost
impossible to scoop the snow out
with a truck with a plow in the
front at almost every location. If
they are able to push the snow,
where do they push it to? How it
affects the City is the likelihood
of an emergency in the wintertime
with snow piled up and
inaccessibility due to the snow
piles in the way. It creates a
serious hazard. I don't see how a
fire truck, for example a pumper,
tries to negotiate all of these
curves, gets back in here, and an
ambulance comes along, how the
ambulance will get past the fire
truck.

We have a number of areas,
specifically in the southeast
corner, which is almost 3/4 acre,
that snow can be pushed into. We
have an area in the southwest
corner, which snow can be pushed
into. There are a number of points
where snow can be piled up. The
Fire Marshall has reviewed this plan
4 - 5 times and he has no problems
with this at all. The 28 ft.
flowline to flowline dimension
allows for parking on one side of
the street, which allows for a 20
ft. clear zone, two lanes of traffic
in either direction, which is
exactly the same as your standard 36
ft. street with parallel parking on
either side. We feel that we have
addressed the snow issue and that

2O
