Louisville City Council Meeting <br />February 3, 2004 <br />Page 4 of 8 <br /> <br />Director Wood estimated a timeframe between thirteen and fourteen months. City <br />Manager Simmons stated the RFP would request a completion date of twelve-months. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for public comments. There were no comments. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Council member Brown asked for the funding source for the citywide comp plan. City <br />Manager Simmons recommended an appropriation from the general fund. <br /> <br />Council discussion: Council member Brown suggested that Council should be realistic in <br />their expectation of a twelve-month completion of a citywide comp plan. Mayor Sisk <br />stressed the process will be very public, including meetings with the Downtown Business <br />Association, the Chamber of Commerce, homeowners associations, and public meetings. <br />He asked Staff to encourage any consulting firm to be part of an outreach program. <br />Levihn voiced his desire the process be accomplished in the twelve-month period. Mayor <br />Sisk thanked the citizens who have been supportive of a citywide comprehensive plan <br />and StorageTek for their willingness to participate in the process. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Keany moved that Council direct Staffto develop an RFP <br />and move forward with the citywide comprehensive plan, seconded by Council member <br />Brown. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1439, SERIES 2004 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br /> CHAPTER 2.32 OF TI-IE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE <br />THE SALARY OF THE PRESIDING MUNICIPAL JUDGE - 2nd reading - public <br />hearing (advertised Daily Camera 1/24/04) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1439, Series 2004. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reviewed Ordinance No. 1439, Series 2004, which <br />increases the judge's monthly salary from $1,400 to $1,500 ($18,000 annually), and <br />includes a provision authorizing an increase to the Deputy Municipal Judge's salary by <br />resolution (Resolution No. 7, Series 2004) from $200 per session to $250 per session. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public heating on Ordinance No. 1439, Series 2004, and called <br />for public comment, and hearing none, closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved to approve Ordinance No. 1439, Series <br />2004. Council member Van Pelt seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken. <br />The motion passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
