John Stead and Michael Reis thanked <br />the Mayor and Council for their support of affordable housing projects in Louisville. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - ROTARY CENTENNIAL <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk proclaimed February 23, 2004 as the official kickoff and countdown to <br />Rotary International's 100-year Centennial Celebration on February 23, 2005. He <br />presented the proclamation to Sharon Svendsen, President of the Coal Creek Rotary Club. <br /> <br />Sharon Svendsen thanked the Mayor and City Council for proclaiming the Rotary <br />International's Centennial. Wood reviewed Ordinance No. 1441, Series 2004, which authorizes an <br />initial zoning for a 12.6-acre parcel of land recently annexed by the City of Louisville for <br />right-of-way purposes to accommodate roadway improvements in conjunction with S. <br />96th/state Highway 42 road construction project. The triangular shaped parcel is located <br />between East Street up to and including a portion of the State Highway 42 right-of-way. <br />It includes the recently acquired 5-acre parcel from the John D. Mayhoffer Trust and a <br />portion of the CDOT right-of-way for Highway 42. <br /> <br />Wood reviewed Ordinance No. 1442, Series 2004, which authorizes an initial zoning for <br />a 3.381-acre parcel of land recently annexed by the City of Louisville for right-of-way <br />purposes to accommodate roadway improvements in conjunction with S. 96th/State <br />Highway 42 road construction project, and is located west of S. 96th Street and north of <br />Dillon Road. The parcel is required for the construction of improvements to Dillon Road <br />and South 96th Street. The land, formerly a part of the Warembourg Open Space <br />Property, was held jointly between Boulder County and the City of Louisville. That <br />portion of the parcel was conveyed from the County to the City prior to the annexation of <br />this parcel. The Planning Commission approved the Agricultural zoning, which is <br />consistent with the executed annexation petition. <br /> <br /> <br />
