Public comments on Items Not on the Agenda: Keaton <br />Howe commends the Parks Department on branch <br />clearance on Washington Street as well as new tennis <br />nets at Pirate's Park. <br />VII. City Council Meeting Discussion: Initial ideas included <br />maintenance for parks and public lands, design guidelines <br />for future developments, yet further ideas will be <br />discussed at upcoming PPLAB meetings. <br />VIII. Park Days Discussion: First "Park Days" will be <br />scheduled for September. Chris Lichty will be invited to <br />complete a pruning demonstration and Mayor Muckle will <br />be invited to attend at the Arboretum. <br />IX. Parks Scorecard Discussion: Need to update the <br />scorecard is noted and also need to maintain consistency <br />between board member evaluations. To standardize <br />subjectivity, we will try to meet at a park next month. <br />X. 2018 Capital Improvement Project Updates, Planning, <br />and Discussion: Park rules and regulations will be <br />reviewed for enforcement prior to posting on signs. For <br />those parks without signs, park names and spelling will <br />need to be verified. Median improvements may be <br />delayed so that a comprehensive plan can be created in <br />2018 to follow a sustainable and well organized design <br />scheme. <br />XI. Agenda Items for Next Meeting: Location of next <br />meeting to be announced. Park Scorecard review, City <br />Council Meeting Discussion, Parks Days date/ topic <br />XII. Adjourn: 9:30.
