City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 3, 2008 <br />Page 4 of 11 <br />150 full-time benefited employees is $9,000. Boulder County's program provides <br />a 60% subsidy in 2008 and a 30% subsidy in 2009 for employers. US36 <br />Commuting Solutions is providing a subsidy of $400 in 2008. The net cost for the <br />City for 6 months would be $3,200 fior the 150 full time employees. <br />US36 Commuting Solutions conducted a survey, which indicated about 85% of <br />City employees generally drive to work alone and about 15% use other <br />commuting alternatives. The survey also showed about 50% of the 115 <br />employees who participated in the survey said they would be "Very Likely" or <br />"Somewhat Likely" to use transit if the City offered a transit benefit or partially <br />subsidized the cost of transit. City Manager Fleming stressed this is a cost <br />effective measure to pursue the City's goals. <br />George Gerstle of the Boulder County Transportation Department expressed his <br />excitement over the Council's decision to participate in the Eco Pass Program. <br />He noted the City's participation is very timely with the new Lynx transit line <br />beginning on June 30th, which will provide transportation opportunities for <br />Louisville residents. <br />Councilor Muckle inquired as to whether part-time employees would be eligible. <br />Mr. Gerstle explained the Eco Pass program is for full-time employees only. <br />MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved to approve the Eco Pass Agreement, <br />seconded by Councilor Dave Clabots. Roll call vote was taken. The motion <br />carried by a vote of 7-0. <br />TAKODA GENERAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />ORDINANCE No. 1536, SERIES 2008 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A <br />PLANNED COMMUNITY ZONED DISTRICT GENERAL DEVELOPMENT <br />PLAN KNOWN AS THE TAKODA GENERAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN - 2nd <br />Reading -Public Hearing <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1536, Series 2008 and Resolution No.24, <br />Series 2008 and noted both address the Takoda Development proposal. <br />Members of the public may comment on either during the public hearing. <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested a Staff presentation. <br />Planning Director Paul Wood explainied the two components of the proposal, <br />Ordinance No. 1536 and Resolution No. 24, represent the entitlement package. <br />The applicantJowners, RMCS, LLC submitted final documents initiating the final <br />phase of the development review prc>cess for the following: Aland use request <br />
