She stated Mr. Ramsey builds quality homes and recently completed <br />construction of her home. She urged Council to approve the proposal. <br />Amy Norton, 689 Ridge View Drive, Louisville, CO stated she and her husband <br />have looked for a well built smaller home in Louisville for two years. She felt two <br />smaller, modest homes are better suited to the area. She noted the rising energy <br />prices should encourage building smaller homes. <br />Tom Beck, 689 Ridge View Drive, Louisville, CO explained they have worked <br />with Mr. Ramsey for two years to locate a property and build a modest, well built <br />home in Old Town Louisville. <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br />Councilor Muckle asked for the total FAR for both lots. Mr. Ramsey stated the <br />FAR is 4,875 feet, with an allowable footprint of 3,750. <br />Councilor Muckle asked for the estirated value of the proposed homes. Mr. <br />Ramsey estimated the value of one home on the lot would range in the $1.3 to <br />$1.4 million. For two homes on the property the value would be approximately <br />$700,000 each. <br />Councilor Muckle inquired about a tree that was removed. Mr. Ramsey stated <br />the tree was questionable. <br />Councilor Muckle felt this proposal :should go back to the Planning Commission. <br />He supported smaller homes as opK>osed to one large home. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella did not support large mansions in Louisville. She felt <br />the two smaller homes would be more in character with Old Town Louisville. She <br />was reluctant to dictate to property owners. <br />Councilor Sackett questioned whether adding more homes on the lot is more <br />beneficial to the City. He addressed the statement the builder is a good quality <br />citizen and noted he would base his decision on the project and not the builder. <br />Councilor Yarnell inquired what the neighbors want in the area and whether they <br />prefer to have one large home or two smaller homes. <br />Mayor Sisk commented two smaller homes on the property might be a better fit <br />for the neighborhood. He agreed this might be returned to the Planning <br />Commission with direction. He voiced his preference for two smaller homes <br />opposed to one large home. He asked the applicant if he was willing to consider <br />a smaller footprint, (1,800 SF) for each home on the property. Mr. Ramsey <br />stated there has been an interest e~:pressed for smaller homes. <br />
