Fischer asked if the City would have
to eventually annex that area since it
i:~ directly across from Cherry St.?
Mayor Meier stated that the City doesn't
have to annex any parcel; another
Council could choose to do so; but Mayor
Meier reiterated the issue is the over
ak~undance of commercial zoning at the
present time. Did not wish to discourage
the applicants but urged that they look
to the area within the City limits that
ax-e already zoned.
Mr.. Fischer stated that he could appreciate
council's concerns but thought they would
pY-esent the proposal and see what happened.
Councilwoman Johnson Commented as someone that lives in that
az•ea, there is a need for the convenience
store and gas station; but concurred with
Ma~.yor and councilmembers that the parti-
cular parcel selected is inappropriate
at. this time. Motion carried
unanimously.
LYNN KUYKENDALL - OUTSIDE councilmembers had a copy of Mr. Kuykendall's
WATER TAP REQUEST letter and a map of the location of his prop-
erty.
Lynn Kuykendall, 7981 South Mr. Kuykendall addressed council formally
Boulder Road, Boulder and stated he was here this evening to
request an outside water tap for his property
which is adjacent to Continental View Estates.
He advised that his property was within 200'
of South Boulder Road and South 80th and
with the widening of South Boulder Road,
the County has taken his access away off
South Boulder Road and replaced that access
on to Continental View Drive. The bulldozers
are doing this now - the new road will be
put in and the old one taken away. This
is why he was requesting a water tap at this
time as it would seem appropriate to have
it done in conjunction with the road con-
