6/18/84 Page -8-
A~isninistrator Wurl stated that was up to
Council. He was just explaining to them
wYiat needed to be done to make the connec-
tion work.
Mi-. Haas stated he didn't ever see this
a:~ being a problem. Also stated that he
had met with all the councilmembers and
hE~ was unaware of any problem. They are
talking about building homes in the $250,000
to $300,000 range and they are willing to
buy 74 acres and give back to the City 60
ac;res of the land. Therefore, he did not
sE:e what the big problem was here. Felt
tYiat it was a mountain made out of a mole
hill argument. If the City wished to buy
tYie 74 acres this evening that could be
done; but he felt after meeting with all
tYie councilmembers that he made their
position perfectly clear that it wasn't a
big problem. He felt it was a good plan.
TYie City would have a good builder and he
had pictures of what he has done and can do.
HE: didn't understand the mixup this evening
acid complaining about everything that are
attempting to do. He felt they were doing
everything possible to work with the City.
Councilman Cussen Wished clarification on the number of homes
proposed to be built.
TYie reply was 32 on approximately 15-16 acres
acid they could agree to 10 building permits
per year over a 3 year period.
Councilman Cussen stated that he was aware
tYiat Mr. Haas had spoken with various
councilmembers and he had talked with him
on one occasion. At the time Mr. Cussen
si:ated that he had informed Mr. Haas that
the City was in the process of implementing
a policy on annexations, and he was looking
for the compelling benefit. He was hearing
Mr. Haas say that the compelling benefit
to the City is the land that would be dedi-
cated for the expansion of the reservoir.
Mr. Cussen was also seeing some difficulty
with the land that would be dedicated to
the City in terms of expansion to the reser-
voir; but they never really talked about
the parcel that would be needed for igress
egress into the area. This may sound like
a small~iparcel of land but it was his under-
standing that this also was for the expan-
sion of the reservoir.
