4/17/'84 Administrator Wurl Page -10- the City limits. Mr. Silverstein felt this was important to bring to the council's attE:ntion. It is not feasible to run a sprinkler system with well water, you must havE, a water tap to provide the needed pres- surE, for all requirements. If council should question why not get water just for the sprinkler system; however it was their feel- ing that since they are paying for the tap it :should be available for use at the facility. Adv:ised that Mr. Trousil had applied for this water tap approximately a year ago. There were a number of conditions that the council came up with at that time in order to permit the tap, and those didn't appeal to iMr. Trousil so the matter was dropped. Mr. Wurl remarked that the City did have outside water taps; but the one that Mr. Silverstein spoke of was of a different set of circumstances. They were on the city line but it was not treated water and the City and the Health Department as well as other agencies were encouraging people on that system when Continnental View annexed and put. in the potable water lines to connect to that line. But the City does have other ex- amp~les of outside users. Councilman Leary Suggested that the request be tabled to give Request to Table for council the opportunity to review the former Background Information request. As he recalled the issue was to annex the land and denied because it was in our open space area. He also felt that thE~ annexation and water tap request were denied at that time because council was not interested in setting a precedent about people we denied annexation; making a strong statement that we didn't want to provide services because council didn't believe the area was being developed consistently witth what council wanted to accomplish in the buffer zone between Louisville and Lafay- ette. Councilman Leary reiterated that the conditions should be submitted to council fo:r review.
