4/1'7/84 Page -6-
fication, i.e. Broomfield was the express
farf~ - Boulder is the regional fare.
Mr. Womack stated that if you were going
t.o Denver from here, it would be the regional
fare. This is something that still needs to
be discussed. They are working on the fare
structure and are trying to keep it down.
Mr. Leary urged them to make it an express fare.
Councilman Leary inquired if there was a
fence or some type of separation between
the travel lane and the pedestrian way on
the interchange? No one was certain.
Mr. Grote stated that this had been included
in the TDP for the past couple years, and
will be included in the next one as well.
Councilman Leary asked if there was anything
the City could do to help to get approval
on this project. Mr. Grote stated that
a letter of support from the City would be
very helpful to include as an exhibit into
the grant.
Nancy Gauss, 1125 Main St. Ms. Gauss stated that she wished to offer
Supporter of the Park & Ride her support for a park and ride facility
in Louisville. Ever since she began work-
ing Denver, three years ago, she has wanted
one. She felt that all the R.T.D. represen-
tatives would have had to say was that they
were offering the City a park and ride with-
out, the presentation, she would have said
great: Stated that they could count her
as one of the first riders that would use it.
For her, who lives in downtown Louisville,
it would be a lot more convenient than
using the Boulder park and ride. As housing
in Louisville is expanding southward and
there are more and more people coming into
they City, it is going to take people longer
and longer to get to Broomfield. It has
almost reached the point now that when she
drives through the City and reaches the parking
lot: half the time it has taken to get to
Deriver she has already spent in her car.
Fe]_t this was one good reason why Louisville
should have the f_acili_ty. She would also like
to urge R.T.D. to look at the number of spaces
that are being planned. If Broomfield has
350-400 spaces and this one is going to be
approximately half that - wondered if it would
be sufficient. She knew at Table Mesa she
ha:~ tried using that facility to get to work
