4/1"]/84 Page -7-
and after 7:30 A.M. it is almost impossible
to get a parking space. In the presenta-
tion it was mentioned that the buses would
be coming from .Boulder, then pulling off
on ithe shoulder and stopping at the Park
and Ride. Ms. Gauss requested that when
they are doing their analysis take into
con;;ideration if there would be available
seats for those boarding at the park and
z•ide facility. This is occasionally a
probblem in Broomfield with buses coming
from Boulder, and then the passengers must
wait for one that originates in Broomfield.
She also stated that since she lives on
Main St. she uses the S bus in bad weather
and she and her neighbors would like to con-
tinue using that if there were a park and
z-ide.
Kathe Fletcher, 1300 Lincoln Ms. Fletcher stated she was also happy to
see the Park and Ride coming in. But wished
to advise R.T.D. that there is no way out
of Louisville without a car after 8:00 A.M.
or back into Louisville before 4:15P.M.
or again after 6:15 P.M. Unless you have
a car there is no way to catch a bus to
Denver, unless you catch the S bus early
in the morning. She felt this was really
a detriment to senior citizens and one car
:families. Wished to encourage R.T.D. to
look at a loop going from Boulder, through
:Lafayette, through Louisville and down to
the: park and ride; and to return on the same
roL-te. That would give the people of Louis-
vi]_le two options to get to Boulder and one
new option to get to Denver, in terms of
not: having to drive a car to get there.
ShE, discovered the Table Mesa parking lot
problem when she was trying to ride the bus
to the R.T.D. station in Denver to be part
of the Art and Public Spaces program through
R.`.C.D. and she missed her bus because the
parking lot was full. She felt that without
additional local bus service that that prob-
lem will be occuring soon in the Louisville
addition parking lot. More local input is
definitely needed to prevent the problems
of parking areas filling up too soon.
