4/1T/84 Page -8-
Marjorie Maagoe, 1132 Ms. Maagoe stated that she had been riding
Jefferson the bus for 7 years and she was happy to hear
that: there would be a park and ride closer
to Louisville. She would like suggest, as
it was her understanding that it hadn't
beers done for approximately 10 years, is
that: who is going to use the bus and where
they come from by a survey of the people.
Who uses R.T.D.? This was discussed on
Channel 6 by reporters and they said this
has not been done. If R.T.D. would interview
the people between 6:30 and 8:00 o'clock,
Monday through Friday they could find out
where they come from, and she felt this was
long overdue throughout the metropolitan
area. She felt that R.T.D. didn't know
where the people are coming from that ride
the bus and one way to find out is to ask
them. Ms. Maagoe was also concerned about
the S bus and urged that we still do have it.
It :is not a big bus for this area; it does
not serve Denver. It serves the lines on
I-25 and sometimes it is almost impossible
to ]oe seated when you come back. She has
addressed public hearings on R.T.D. before
±o express concern about the S bus. It
would be convenient to have better service
r.ig:ht through the City of Louisville.
Mayor Meier Commented he too was happy to hear a park
and ride was going to be built - felt that
it 'was overdue and concurred with the comments
made by the people who spoke. He had re-
ceived complaints from various people about
the availability of leaving and returning
to the City of Louisville on the R.T.D. buses.
A bus was recently lost ~ to catch people
through Longmont; also lost a stop here and
they gained a stop in Lafayette which caused
a problem for at least two people.
Mr. Womack stated he welcomed the input
fr~~ everyone and if they had a complaint
to let him in know, preferably in writing,
or call him, he would see what could be done.
He further stated, in the past no one cared
about the bus system all they wanted to do
way: build a light rail system. They now
have a new director whom he felt would make
the bus system work efficiently.
