1/17/84
Page -11-
VuTE ON THE MOTION Question called for. A11 in favor. Motion
carried unanimously.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT
WATER AND WASTEWATER LOADER
AUTHORIZE CALL FOR BIDS
Budgeted Item
VOTE ON THE MOTION
Cou:ncilmembers had a copy of a memorandum
from Director of Public Works Karl Kasch
and copy of the specifications for Skid-Steer
Loader.
Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Leary seconded
that staff be authorized to call for bids
on the Water and Wastewater Loader.
Councilwoman Morris noted from Director
of Public Works Kasch's memo that a couple
companies were not solicited for quotes,
inquired what happens if these people put
bids in?
Director Kasch advised that they were still
on the bidder's list. The two companies will
be allowed to bid; however most likely they
will not be able to meet our most minimal
specifications.
Mayor Meier inquired of Director Kasch, if
any of our employees had ever operated a
Bobcat type loader?
He replied that two of them have and that
there would be extensive training provided
for others also.
Councilman Leary commented he assumed this
was not a budgeted item.
Director Kasch advised that the funds would
be transferred from the Capital Improvements
Bud'~get to Mechanical Equipment and therefore
would not necessitate an amendment to the
budget .
Hip; reply was that the attachments were listed
because it would be better to bid it as a
package as they usually have factory attach-
ments which are more compatible with their
equipment.
Councilman Leary then inquired if Director
Kasch would go to bid for every attachment
as listed.
QuE~stion called for. All in favor. Motion
caY-ried unanimously.
