10/1.6/84 Page -5-
ILSON/THOMAS ANNEXATION Councilmembers had a copy of the letter
REQUEST requesting annexation from Mr. Thomas and
Mr. Wilson and a map depicting the location
of the property.
Acting City Administrator Rupp advised that
the property was located just north of the
Dutch Creek Subdivision and south of Bella
Vista Drive. The proposed request does not
meet. the Counc'il's current policy on annexa-
tion. specifically in terms of how many per-
mitted units with any annexation request
would be considered by the City. Council
indicated that in March of 1985 they would
review their annexation policy that only one
unit. be allowed for every 5 acres. The pro-
posal consisted of slightly over 1/2 acre.
MOTION TO DENY ANNEXATION Councilwoman Johnson moved, Councilman Cussen
seconded that the Wilson/Thomas annexation be
denied.
Mayor Meier and Councilman Fauson stated they
would vote against the motion as they felt
this property was an enclave to the City and
should be dealt with on an individual basis
rather than include it with the blanket annex-
ation policy as set forth.
Councilman Leary commented that the enclave
issue was intended to be dealt with as either
coming in with existing units or coming in not
requesting more than one unit. This is re-
questing more than one unit and the purpose
of the policy is to get ahold of annexations.
So if individuals were interested in one unit
on this parcel at this time, it could be annexed.
Vote on the Motion Roll. call vote:
Johnson Yes
Leary Yes
Cussen Yes
Luce Yes
Morris Yes
Fauso n No
Meier No
Motion carried 5-2.
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT Councilmembers had a copy of the Agreement.
BOUDLER COUNTY/LAFAYETTE/ Acting City Administrator provided Council with
T,OUISVILLE - OPEN SPACE a revised page 2 which was to replace the one
in t:he Agreement.
