9/18/84 Page -26-
Mr. Rickman had gone on vacation and Mr.
Rupp would get the information to Council-
woman Morris on the time frame as soon as
possible.
Letter from Rocky Mountain Councilwoman Morris requested that Acting
Consultants - Leon Wurl's City Administrator Rupp get a letter from
Employment Rocky Mountain Consultants regarding Leon
Wurl's employment there and how it does or
goes not effect the City of Louisville.
There has been some concern about that
on her part. She would like some very
specific clarity as to whether or not there
is a conflict of interest there.
Special Transit System Councilwoman Morris stated that when DRCOG
came out to visit with us they mentioned one
of their services as being Special Transit
System. In ongoing discussions with STS,
Director Hioco, our senior citizens and
LaClinica there has been a general determin-
ation that this area has not been serviced.
They are looking to rectify that and apparently
STS is meeting with RTD on Tuesday regarding
some additional contracting that will allow
them to transport many of our people that
go into Denver; also adding more trips daily
to Boulder from Louisville. Mrs. Morris
requested a letter of support from Council
on this issue.
Letter of Support from Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilwoman John-
Council for STS son seconded that a letter of support be
written to STS for the RTD Board in support
of the contract that they are seeking on
Tuesday. All in favor. Motion carried
unanimously.
Mayor Meier Commented that he was not sure where the impetus
came'fr~n to have- Acting City Administrator
Rupp do something with the sidewalk at the
Elementary School, nor was he certain of
the amount of the expenditure involved.
This did not come through Council and he
was unhappy with doing things that the
School system wants. He did not favor a
temporary placement and then re-expend
money later to finish the project. He
didn't even know why the City was even
doing it.
