These permits are
very important to us. We have 39 homes in question.
i' We will not be'installing any landscaping this year
and the 39 homes in question will have no occupancy
until after October 1st. We're reasonably confident
i that the information being fed to us from the engineers
and so on is correct and we really don't have a
problem after the City's current improvements-are
~ installed. We feel, based on our information, that
3 there would not be a question about water service in
1985 which is an issue. We're confronted with the
situation we reached with the City of Louisville an
agreement to front end the fees on South Boulder Road
j in the amount of approximately $430,000. This tying
into the overall South Boulder Road project up ta~:-s"'~.
McCaslin. Columbine is in an awkward position to be
able to finance this and still nvt be able to pull
building permits. Given the fact that the homes will
not require any real water service either domestic
or external and we must continue on if we are to front
the fees for South Boulder Road. We're asking the Cii:,;t
Council and the Mayor to consider our situation.
Councilman Leary I would like to get some explaination on the list
of individuals who requested building permits or
_ water taps, exactly the status, did they request them
prior to the moratorium and have not been granted them
' or have some of these requests come in in the last
couple of days.
City Administrator Wurl Basically all of these people were, with the exception
of the commercial, at some phase of application. Some
submitted application earlier, permits were processed,
payment was received after the mayors order to cease
issuing building permits. Some people are in the
process of their financing. Some are taps only, like
in the case of Mr. Pliska who was here two weeks or a
month ago and is now beginning to process his application
for annexation. Lynn Kurkeyendall got approval for
'- a water tap so that he could get in pre the improvements
on South Boulder Road. He did not formalize that by
coming in and actually get it. With the rest of them
- Steve would have to address them.
Steve Ferris George Mallon requested an outside water tap for
Paradise Acres and he hasn't picked his up. Haese
Corporation is requesting a permit for Paragon Heights
and-are processing the financing now. Mr.Nirschl is
building a house for a homeowner who has sold their
house and are presently living in a rental house and
expect to take out their permit the first part of August.
Scott Carver I just spoke to tonight and wasn't aware
of the moratorium on permits now. He will be requesting
a permit on the first also of August. Bellock
construction in Pine Street Plaza requested the permit
for in within the last week. On the Aspen Greens permit
is one that was in for a year and then they went to the
court and have that finally squared away. Just for
your information their is an resubdivision of a current
subdivision in Louisville North which is Dan Keith who
is proposing a veterinary clinic.
• ~ City Administrator Wurl In the case of Columbine, they have submitted a
separate letter verifying what happened with their
coming in on a Monday or some day earlier in the week
and applying for the permits.
