Meier Mayor Meier noted that the city parks on their automatic systems pull quite a bit water and the surrounding homes have suffered poor pressure. Kasch Mr. Kasch stated that the parks timers would be set for 3 and 6 a.m. Also their timers are set for the bare minimal Luce Councilman Luce asked what~the net effect of - the mismanufacture of the high zone pumps? Kasch Mr. Kasch stated about ten days. He stated that the high zone pump station has been pulled of~the critical path and put all the basis-on the pre-treatment tiet3 in and they later get the high zone pumps put immediately in. Fauson Councilman Fauson asked relative to the ya~,piping, if that included the water from the back-wash recycle system. Kasch Mr. Kasch stated that the back-wash recPy~= system will be staged totally different. Fauson Councilman Fauson asked what determined the back-wash, time. Kasch Mr. Kasch noted that back-washing is a direct relationship to how dirty the water is and how good it's being pre-treated. Fauson Councilman Fauson asked if this could not be done at a time when there is no demand, evening Kasch Mr. Kasch stated that it is done throughout the day as it is necessary. Morris Councilperson Morris moved that the July 3rd, 1984 Memo from Karl Kasch to Leon Wurl,(items 3 and 4) be approved. - Motion seconded by Johnson. Leary Councilman Leary asked what was happenning ~ to the budget on these project fast-tracking? Kasch Mr. Kasch stated that he would be back-tracking though the 20 year capital improvement program to review the ramtifications of this as relates to the Howard Berry Water Treatment Plant.
