Williams confirmed the original discussions did not contain the scoreboard <br />signage. <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt agreed with Mr. Goossen that public lands should not be used <br />for advertisement, but noted a scoreboard is not a billboard. <br /> <br />Council member Marsella noted there is signage for team sponsorship at the Louisville <br />Sports Complex. She asked if there is a City policy on signage. Council member Brown <br />stated the sponsors of the teams display signage on a temporary basis. Williams <br />confirmed the signs are temporary. <br /> <br />Council member Keany voiced his support of the T-Mobile lease. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Keany moved for approval of Resolution No. 32, Series <br />2004, seconded by Council member Levihn. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk offered a friendly amendment to the agreement, that section K be amended to <br />reflect the signage be no greater than 6 SF in total and be displayed no longer than 3 <br />years. Council members Keany and Levihn accepted the amendment with a 5- year <br />display of the sign. <br /> <br />Council member Brown suggested delaying action on the vote and continuing the matter <br />to July to discuss a City Policy. <br /> <br />Council member Keany amended his motion that the logo be no greater than 6 SF or than <br />15% of the signs total square footage. <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt stated she did not see a problem with the scoreboard, and the <br />T-Mobile $100,000 gift would enhance the City's Capital Project budget. <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 6-1.
