Police Chief Goodman confirmed the ordinance does not <br />provide impoundment of unregistered vehicles. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved for Council approval of Ordinance No. 1451, <br />Series 2004, seconded by Council member Marsella. Roll call vote was taken. The <br />motion passed by a vote of 5-0. Council member Van Pelt and Clabots were absent. <br /> <br />Council member Levihn thanked Chief Goodman and complimented the Police <br />Department for their work during the Fourth of July celebration. <br /> <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.92.010 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN THAT AT ITS JULY 20, 2004 REGULAR MEETING, <br />THE LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL WILL MAKE A FINAL <br />DETERMINATION AS TO THE PURCHASE OF FEE TITLE TO A CERTAIN <br />PARCEL OF LAND TOTALING 3.9 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, AND LOCATED <br />BETWEEN COUNTY ROAD AND ROOSEVELT AVENUE, SOUTH OF THE <br />CITY'S APPROVED COMMUNITY PARK PARCEL, FOR POTENTIAL USE <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TRAILS, COMMUNITY PARK AMENITIES & <br />FACILITIES, AND OTHER GOVERNMENTAL PURPOSES <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reported that pursuant to Section 2.92.010 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code, notice must be given that at its July 20, 2004 regular meeting, the <br />Louisville City Council will make a final determination as to the purchase of fee title to a <br />certain parcel of land totaling 3.9 acres, more or less, and located between County Road <br />and Roosevelt Avenue. The parcel is south of the City's approved Community Park <br />parcel, for potential use for construction of trails, Community Park amenities and <br />facilities, and other governmental purposes. Authorization is requested to publish a public <br />notice as required by Section 2.92.010 of the LMC. Notice has been given on this <br />agenda, meeting the requirement of ten days notification prior to the final determination. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Keany moved that Council authorize publication of a notice <br />of final determination to purchase the described parcel of real estate, seconded by <br />Council member Brown. All in favor.
