Louisville City Council Meeting <br />July 6, 2004 <br />Page 8 of 10 <br /> <br />Planning Director Paul Wood reviewed the history of the Waldman request to amend the <br />Faber Annexation Agreement. The Council continued this item on June 1 to July 6 to <br />give the applicant sufficient time to submit a revised annexation request to City Council. <br />Since that time, neither the staff nor the City Attorney's office has been contacted or <br />received correspondence from the applicant. <br /> <br />David Waldman stated he does not have a completed agreement. He reviewed the <br />additions to the annexation agreement. <br /> <br />City Attorney clarified the Council would not take action until the applicant requests the <br />application be put on the agenda. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - CONTRACT WITH ECl SITE CONSTRUCTION <br /> MANAGEMENT FOR 2004 SKATE PARK <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Land Management Director Cindy Lair reviewed the history of 2004 Skate Park <br />development process. She reported the Land Management Department published an <br />Invitation to Bid on the 2004 Skate Park Project and on June 29, 2004, five bids were <br />received. Those bids are as follows: <br /> <br /> ECI Site Construction Management <br />· Fischer Construction, Inc. <br />· W.J. Shirley, Inc. <br />· Richdell Construction <br />· P.B.M. Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />$554,849.53 <br />$589,625.57 <br />$599,723.20 <br />$728,932.20 <br />$731,645.13 <br /> <br />The project includes all machinery, materials and labor necessary to install specified <br />grading, asphalt, paving, concrete work, drainage, landscaping and bridge installation for <br />a complete skate park, road and parking lot. A total of $550,000 is available for the <br />project. Staff has evaluating funding possibilities. It is Staff's recommendation that <br />Council award the 2004 Skate Park Project to ECI Site Construction Management for the <br />total price of $571,712.91. The amount includes the base bid of $554,849.53 plus added <br />alternates. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reviewed the supplemental appropriations for the project and <br />the Louisville Municipal Code. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comments. There were none. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Council member Marsella asked for clarification the proposal does not include lighting. <br />Land Management Director Lair confirmed lighting was not a part of the proposal. <br /> <br /> <br />
