DRAFT <br />24 <br />26 <br />The Louisville Call -n -Ride program (RTD) allows residents to call for a ride <br />between communities within Louisville. <br />The RTD system allows for travel between communities. (The City <br />Manager's Office is beginning to discuss a new route serving CTC with <br />RTD.) <br />RTD initiated a Ride the Bus campaign and Boulder County has provided a <br />grant to advertise MyRide pre -loaded bus passes, both of which Louisville <br />supported through staff, outreach, venue and funds. <br />A new bike shelter/cage is being installed on the Hwy 36 overpass to <br />improve non -vehicle access to the bus stop and encourage transportation <br />between communities. <br />The City Manager's Office is beginning to discuss new routes with RTD, <br />and there is a future bus service being considered from the CTC to <br />destination points within the area. <br />Bike Share (Zagster) received funding in May 2017. It will need sponsors, <br />but it should be up and running in 6-12 months. <br />The Call -N -Ride now serves the Louisville Recreation Center from the <br />Superior side. <br />In coordination with DRCOG, the City of Louisville and Town of Superior <br />coordinated corridor timing improvements to reduce vehicle <br />delay/idling/emissions. <br />In coordination with Superior, Louisville led the initiative to build the DDI, <br />which saved more delay/idling/emissions on the US 36 BRT route than the <br />previous US 36 RTD Queue Jump project was achieving. <br />In addition, Via offers transportation services between communities. <br />Additionally, FastTracks, the passenger train system that is currently operating <br />for a short distance in Denver, will eventually be built out to Louisville and <br />beyond (Longmont). It is not scheduled to be implemented in Louisville, <br />however, until 2040.
