Louisville City Council Meeting <br />November 3, 2004 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br />work on a parking plan. The committee recommends the City Council select Adolfson & <br />Peterson for the Louisville Public Library Construction Manager/General Contractor, and <br />authorize Staff to negotiate an agreement for those services. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Council member Marsella commented that the four teams interviewed were excellent. <br />She noted the Adolfson & Peterson team had been together for a long time, have <br />experience working in an urban environment, and their fees were the lowest. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk stressed that Adolfson & Peterson has experience working with local <br />merchants. He thanked the Steering Committee for their work. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Marsella moved that Council select Adolfson & Peterson <br />for the Louisville Public Library Construction Manager/General Contractor. Council <br />member Keany seconded the motion and added a friendly amendment that the Mayor be <br />authorized to sign the final agreement. Council member Marsella accepted the <br />amendment. <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons requested Staff reports: <br /> <br />· Public Works Director Tom Phare reviewed the changes to snow plowing <br /> procedures. He noted the information is also available on the City's Web Page. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager for Governmental Relations Heather Balser reported on <br />the Superior/Louisville Biella-Menkick IGA discussions; interviews on <br />November 8th to obtain consulting services for completion of the condition survey <br />for the Highway 42 Revitalization Project; the needs assessment for the renewal <br />of the Comcast Cable Television Franchise Agreement. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd updated Council on the following Capital <br />Projects: The Community Park, the Re-use water line, Street Reconstruction <br />Project, Skate Park, and the Bell Tower on the Arts Center at Memory Square. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons updated Council on future study session agenda <br />items. He noted Staff would update Council on the traffic light for Cherry Street <br />at a future meeting. He addressed study sessions being held on Tuesdays in the <br />City Council Chambers and suggested its implementation be delayed to 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />
