It is not scheduled for implementation in Louisville, <br />however, until 2040. This is an endeavor the City should continue to pursue <br />and attempt to move through the legislative process more quickly on a state <br />and federal level. <br />Further needs for transportation solutions between communities may be more <br />thoroughly investigated through the development of the future Transportation <br />Master Plan. <br />External Target 1: Support telecommunication efforts <br />34 <br />T-ET1S1: Support upgrading The Library reports that they have recently upgraded their wifi network (in <br />of communication 2017) by increasing internal access points. This is an important community <br />infrastructure that would outreach in that it allows people of all vulnerabilities to access the internet for <br />improve internet speeds;, free, thus leveling the playing field for education, telecommuting <br />opportunities, and even learning through play. The City Hall also currently <br />provides free wifi to the public it serves. <br />In addition, City broadband was on the November 2017 ballot. This would <br />potentially allow the City to procure broadband services or partner in a way <br />that would allow the City to upgrade/streamline its municipal communication <br />capacity. This is intended primarily for City use, but may include some <br />opportunities to improve broadband to the public in public buildings. Council <br />will be a part of this process if procurement of a new provider is necessary. <br />• Continue improving City facilities' <br />broadband capacity available to the <br />public where relevant. <br />External Target 2: Reduce SOV and GHG emissions <br />35 <br />T-ET2S1: Explore programs According to the Deputy City Manager, this has been utilized in the past for <br />to fund and implement RTD City staff and was discontinued due to lack of participation. In addition, a past <br />EcoPass for City residents study showed that many residents who needed EcoPasses for school or work <br />and employees. already had them. <br />In addition, Boulder County provided a grant in 2017 to preload 6,000 new <br />MyRide pre -loaded bus passes to increase riders on the bus and to reduce <br />• No new recommended action.
