City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 10, 2016 <br />Page 7 of 10 <br />Councilmember Leh noted that even with the agreement with Boulder County, .Louisville <br />will need to be supportive of their programs and that will require at a minimum some <br />staff time and effort. <br />Councilmember Lipton would like to add "Update Sign Code" to Community Design so <br />the code will support the business community. <br />Councilmember Stolzmann would like to add finishing the effort on: zoning open space <br />as open space as required in the Charter and complete the GIS mapping of all City <br />property. Muckle noted this will require a huge effort so perhaps there is a way to do this <br />a small chunk at a time. <br />Councilmernber Stolzmann added she would like to be sure the historic preservation <br />web page and handouts are updated and distributed to the community. <br />Mayor Muckle added that affordable housing really needs to be the City supporting the <br />County as they have the resources to do something impactful. For Historic Preservation <br />he feels a good program would be for the City to purchase houses, landmark them, and <br />sell. them with deed restrictions. He also would like to see the subdivision process <br />reviewed so that we are not getting density we aren't expecting. <br />Councilmember Loo would like to see the addition of "completing a connection from <br />Kestrel to Christopher Village and on to South Boulder Road" which would require <br />working with Boulder County in their building of Kestrel. <br />Economic Prosperity <br />Councilmember. Stolzmann would like Street Faire listed under. special events not under <br />Business Retention and wants to make sure support is reviewed at the end of 2016; it is <br />not automatic. <br />Councilrnember Lipton would like to see more details and projects under Business <br />Retention and Urban Renewal with some new ideas. Councilmember Loo would like to <br />add "branding for economic development and something related to evaluating what is <br />happening in town by business sector. Muckle would like to see "Economic Gardening" <br />added. <br />Administrative and Support Services <br />Councilmember Stolzmann wants to be sure an ehlewsletter will not replace the mailed <br />newsletter. She added she would like to see a broadband fiber election be a priority for <br />2017. <br />Under Legal Support Councilmember Stolzmann stated she would like to see the <br />Municipal Code cleaned up to match the Charter. <br />27 <br />
