Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />June 13, 2018 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Trail <br />Location Notes <br />Comments (AG = Allan Gill) <br />NE section of <br />Warembourg <br />Formalize social trail at NE <br />edge of Warembourg to <br />connect Mining trail to <br />neighborhood linkage trail <br />that crosses Hoover <br />Laura indicated this would a be a valuable <br />addition & is high on her priority list <br />Powerline to West <br />Dahlia St <br />Powerline trail to W. Dahlia & <br />W. Century Dr. <br />AG: Not sure of priority. Currently 2 social <br />trails connect Powerline with paved <br />neighborhood connectors (one north, one <br />south). Proposed trail up the middle would <br />have significant grade. Laura noted that <br />she doesn't think this trail is needed. <br />Allan cautioned OSAB members to consider year of building and funding cycles when <br />reviewing potential trails. <br />Next steps: Laura will revise the trails list prior to next meeting to clarify features and <br />challenges & provide better maps with clearly numbered trail options. <br />X. Discussion Item: Recommendations from OSAB to City Council Regarding the <br />Annual Request to Boulder County Parks & Open Space for Trails and Properties <br />Ember introduced the topic and noted that Boulder County is more focused on regional <br />trails that connect to larger trail systems or county trails not short neighborhood <br />connections. <br />New Properties: Laura noted that the Santilly property, between Harney Lastoka & <br />Lafayette; possibly for small-scale farming could be added as a new property to our <br />annual request. <br />New trails: None noted. <br />Helen made a motion to submit the same list of properties and trails as last year, minus <br />the Mayhoffer property. Peter seconded. The motion passes unanimously. <br />XI. Discussions Items for the Next Meeting on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 <br />A. Dog Recreation Tiger Team: Proposed Best Practices for Louisville summary <br />B. Trails & Connections list: review revised list and determine priority levels. <br />C. Revisit 2018 goals <br />D. Ascent Church Property - Trail review <br />XII. Adjourn <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:27 pm. <br />
