SUBJECT: <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION — COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY <br />DATE: <br />AUGUST 14, 2018 <br />PAGE 7 OF 7 <br />PROGRAM/SUB-PROGRAM IMPACT: <br />The objectives of the City's Public Information and Involvement Sub -Program include <br />providing easy and timely access to all relevant information about City programs and <br />services and establishing processes that give anyone interested opportunities to get <br />involved and influence decision -making. By developing a strategy to improve <br />communications and engagement, the City is furthering its progress in achieving these <br />goals. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />Depends on recommendations to improve community engagement, if any. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that City Council approve the proposed strategy to improve <br />community engagement and include such items in the recommended 2019/2020 <br />budget. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
