ORDINANCE NO. 1275, SERIES 1997 - REPEALING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTER <br />16.32 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE WHICH CURRENTLY AUTHORIZE <br />THE LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO WAIVE OR DEFER CERTAIN ANNEXATION <br />AND SUBDMSION REQUIREMENTS WHICH ARE NOT REQUIRED BY STATE LAW - <br />1ST READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING 1/6/98 <br /> <br />Light read by title only Ordinance No. 1275, Series 1997, "Repealing certain sections of Chapter <br />16.32 of the Louisville Municipal Code which currently authorize the Louisville City Council to waive <br />or defer certain annexation and subdivisions requirements which are not required by state law." <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1275, Series 1997, repealing certain sections <br />of Chapter 16.32 of the Louisville Municipal Code which currently authorize the Louisville City <br />Council to waive or defer certain annexation and subdivisions requirements which are not required <br />by state law on first reading and set the public hearing for January 6, 1998, seconded by Sisk. Ail in <br />favor. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING LOUISVILLE STREET NAMES <br /> <br />Keany felt that Campus Drive is a nonescript street name <br /> <br />Sisk and Mayer agreed that Council defer discussion on this item to ensure careful consideration is <br />exercised in this matter. <br /> <br />Keany proposed placing this item on the agenda for the January 27 Work Session. <br /> <br />Davidson agreed. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attomey, reported the disconnection ordinance for the Biella/Menkick property took <br />effect on December 9, 1998. He received by fax today a letter from the attorney for Mr. Bella and <br />Mr. Menkick waiving any objections he raised at the December 5 Council meeting concerning the <br />disconnection process. He was in the process of seeking dismissal of the disconnection case that was <br />filed in Boulder County District Court. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, provided an update on the Jefferson County Airport regarding <br />establishing commuter/charter service. Copies of letters from the City of Louisville, the Town of <br />Superior and Boulder County to the Jefferson County Airport Authority asking for a public hearing <br /> <br /> <br />
