Refuse container means, for those persons subject to the city's residential <br />refuse collection services, a wheeled cart suitable for mechanical lifting with a lid <br />for containing and setting out refuse for collection in sizes of approximately 32- <br />gallons, 64-gallons, and/or 96-gallons. For all other persons, refuse container means <br />a metal or other non -absorbent container equipped with a tightly fitting metal or <br />non -absorbent lid. <br />Residential refuse collection services means the collection and <br />transportation of refuse from sources other than industrial or commercial <br />establishments, multifamily residences of two or more units, or homeowners' <br />associations which provide their residents curbside refuse and single -stream <br />recyclmg and compostable collection services. <br />Single -stream recycling means all forms of materials, goods and items that <br />are approved for recycling at the city's designated recycling facility <br />Single -stream recycling collection services means the collection of <br />recycling materials in a city provided single -stream recycling container The <br />collection, transport, and deposit of the single -stream recycling matenals at the <br />city's designated recycling facility will be provided by the city, its contractor or city <br />licensed operator <br />Single -stream recycling container means a wheeled cart suitable for <br />mechanical lifting with a lid for containing and setting out recycling materials for <br />collection m sizes of approximately 32-gallons, 64-gallons, and/or 96-gallons. <br />Section 3. Subsection 8 64 020.B of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />to read as follows (words added are underlined, words deleted are ken-thr-eugh) <br />B Refuse containers for those subject to the city's residential refuse <br />collection services as described in section 8.64.050, <br />shall be provided by the city or its <br />contractor <br />Section 4. Subsection 8 64 030.B of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />to read as follows (words added are underlined, words deleted are sly) <br />B Single -stream recycling containers for those persons subject to the <br />city's single -stream recycling services as described in section 8.64.060 shall be <br />provided by the city or its contractor Such <br />containers shall be used only for the collection of materials deemed as recyclable <br />through a single -stream recycling system by the city's designated recycling facility <br />Section 5. Chapter 8 64 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to add a <br />new section 8.64 035, to read as follows - <br />Ordinance No. 1766, Series 2018 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />
