Refuse container means, for those persons subject to the city's residential refuse collection services, a wheeled cart suitable for mechanical lifting with a lid for containing and setting out refuse for collection in sizes of approximately 32- gallons, 64-gallons, and/or 96-gallons. For all other persons, refuse container means a metal or other non -absorbent container equipped with a tightly fitting metal or non -absorbent lid. Residential refuse collection services means the collection and transportation of refuse from sources other than industrial or commercial establishments, multifamily residences of two or more units, or homeowners' associations which provide their residents curbside refuse and single -stream recyclmg and compostable collection services. Single -stream recycling means all forms of materials, goods and items that are approved for recycling at the city's designated recycling facility Single -stream recycling collection services means the collection of recycling materials in a city provided single -stream recycling container The collection, transport, and deposit of the single -stream recycling matenals at the city's designated recycling facility will be provided by the city, its contractor or city licensed operator Single -stream recycling container means a wheeled cart suitable for mechanical lifting with a lid for containing and setting out recycling materials for collection m sizes of approximately 32-gallons, 64-gallons, and/or 96-gallons. Subsection 8 64 020.B of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined, words deleted are ken-thr-eugh) B Refuse containers for those subject to the city's residential refuse collection services as described in section 8.64.050, shall be provided by the city or its contractor Section 4. Subsection 8 64 030.B of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined, words deleted are sly) B Single -stream recycling containers for those persons subject to the city's single -stream recycling services as described in section 8.64.060 shall be provided by the city or its contractor Such containers shall be used only for the collection of materials deemed as recyclable through a single -stream recycling system by the city's designated recycling facility Section 5. Chapter 8 64 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to add a new section 8.64 035, to read as follows - Ordinance No. 1766, Series 2018 Page 3 of 9
