CLERK: It doesn't matter. <br /> <br />JOSS: <br /> <br />Actually, I would call an individual first. Joy Armstrong is she present this <br />evening? Would you step to the podium. Would you state your name, <br />occupation, and address. <br /> <br />ARMSTRONG: <br /> <br />Joleen Armstrong, waitress at Gentleman Jim's, 5390 W. 80th, Apt. 208A, <br />Westminster. <br /> <br />CLERK: <br /> <br />Please raise your right hand. Do you solemnly swear or affirm under penalty of <br />perjury that the testimony you are about to give will be the truth, the whole truth <br />and nothing but the truth? <br /> <br />ARMSTRONG: Yes. <br /> <br />Joss questioned Armstrong regarding her employment with Gentleman Jim's. It was established that <br />Armstrong had been employed by Gentleman Jim's on and off for about two years and that she worked <br />approximately 30 hours a week. Joss also established that Armstrong was employed by Gentleman Jim's <br />and working on the evening of December 7, 1995. <br /> <br />Joss established that Armstrong prior to the December 7, 1995, date had as an employee of Gentleman <br />Jim's received training fi.om the ownership concerning her responsibliities as a waitress. Armstrong had <br />attend a liquor training session. Armstrong stated that the class taught how to identify intoxicated people, <br />false I.D.'s. It was a four hour class. Armstrong did not recall the date of the class or who put on the <br />class, but thought it was about one year ago. <br /> <br />JOSS: <br /> <br />Calling your attention again to the evening of December 7, 1995, what time did <br />you go to work that evening, do you remember? <br /> <br />ARMSTRONG: Around 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />JOSS: <br /> <br />How long did you work? <br /> <br />ARMSTRONG: I got offbetween 9 and 9:30. No, actually it was 9:30 - 10:00 p.m. that night. <br /> <br />JOSS: <br /> <br />You said you worked as a waitress. Is that a cocktail waitress or food service <br />waitress or both? <br /> <br />Mr. Joss asked Ms. Armstrong is she knew Darren Albright, Marvin Counts, or Jamie Abeyta. Ms. <br />Armstrong did not know any of the people. On that particular evening Ms. Armstrong remembers an <br />altercation in Gentleman Jim's. Ms. Armstrong remembered two men who she had served being <br />involved in the altercation. Mrs. Armstrong stated that the two men had been at the bar for approximately <br />1 and one-half hours. The altercation occurred around 9:15 p.m.. Mr. Joss clarified that the two men had <br />been in the bar since 8:00 p.m. or before and Mrs. Armstrong agreed.
