VI. Public Comment on Items Not on the Agenda
From: Lisa Witter
To: Dean Johnson
Sent: Friday 4/19/2019, 2:49 PM MDT
Subject: Mowing Around the Rec Center
Hi Dean,
Please pass along this email to the comments on the Parks Advisory Board meeting.
In an effort to help encourage small wildlife and help feed the many hawks around the Rec
Center, I'm asking that you don't mow the grass on the sloped sides of the field on the east side of
the Arboretum, behind the Rec Center. If there are other places you could leave the grass to grow
this summer, that would be great too. Five, or so, years ago the grass was left to grow all around
this open space and it was great for the small animals and birds, even the bees benefit from the
extra flowering plants. Thanks for your consideration.
Lisa Witter
4
