He said Ms. Duckham's background is clean and he hopes she will <br />not be before the Authority for any problems. <br />Machado closed the public hearing and called for Authority discussion and <br />comments. <br />Brown said it does give him pause to have an applicant with no experience <br />running this type of business but understands that is not a reason for denial. <br />Machado noted he feels the applicant will work hard to run this business well. He <br />stated there had not been issues with the marijuana businesses in town and he <br />expects the same here. <br />Sergeant Redard noted the proximity to a liquor store and cautioned the <br />applicant to be vigilant about that. Machado agreed. <br />Carlson moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the <br />applicant is of good moral character and all City and state law requirements have <br />been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve <br />issuance of a Retail Marijuana Store license for Little Lemon, LLC doing business <br />as Little Lemon. Machado seconded. <br />Machado offered friendly amendment the issuance of the license be conditioned <br />on the applicant receiving a certificate of occupancy and all zoning approvals. <br />Motioner and seconder accepted the friendly amendment. <br />Roll Call Vote: Machado — yes, Brown — yes, Carlson - yes and Lipton — yes. <br />B. Change in Ownership Structure — Compassionate Pain <br />Management LLC d/b/a Ajoya — Combined Retail/Medical <br />Marijuana — 1100 W. Dillon Road <br />Machado called the item. Lipton moved the change in ownership structure <br />be approved. Carlson seconded. All in favor. <br />C. Discussion/Direction — Fee changes <br />The Authority was asked to review a proposed fee change adding five <br />percent to application fees. The State regulates the amount that be charged <br />locally and Louisville has been far below that for some time. Lipton moved <br />the Authority recommend Council go ahead with the proposed fee increases. <br />Carlson seconded. All in favor. <br />Police Department Reports <br />
