Residential refuse collection services means the collection and <br /> transportation of refuse from sources other than industrial or commercial <br /> establishments, multifamily residences of two (2) or more units, or homeowners' <br /> associations which provide their residents curbside refuse and single-stream <br /> recycling collection services. <br /> Single-stream recycling means all forms of materials, goods and items that <br /> are approved for recycling at the city's designated recycling facility. <br /> Single-stream recycling collection services means the collection of <br /> recycling materials in a city provided single-stream recycling container. The <br /> collection, transport, and deposit of the single-stream recycling materials at the <br /> city's designated recycling facility will be provided by the city, its contractor or <br /> city licensed operator. <br /> Single-stream recycling container means a wheeled cart suitable for <br /> mechanical lifting with a lid for containing and setting out recycling materials for <br /> collection in sizes of approximately 32-gallons, 64-gallons, and/or 96-gallons. <br /> Sec. 8.64.020. Refuse— handling and collection requirements. <br /> A. Prior to being deposited for collection, all refuse shall be drained <br /> of liquid and be wrapped tightly and sealed in paper or plastic to prevent spillage. <br /> B. Refuse containers for those subject to the city's residential refuse <br /> collection services, including separate refuse containers for compostables and <br /> yard waste, shall be provided by the city or its contractor as described in section <br /> 8.64.050. <br /> C. Refuse containers shall be kept off the street, curb, sidewalk and <br /> all other public ways, except for the period beginning 6:00 p.m. on the day prior <br /> to the day of collection and ending 9:00 p.m. on the day of collection. <br /> D. No person shall place, leave, deposit or dispose of any refuse on <br /> any street, alley or other public place, or on any private property, unless the refuse <br /> is wholly contained within a proper refuse container for collection. Any <br /> accumulation of refuse in violation of this chapter is declared a nuisance and is <br /> prohibited. <br /> E. Household hazardous waste shall be disposed of as set forth in the <br /> Boulder County Household Hazardous Waste disposal guidelines. <br /> F. It shall be unlawful for any person to bury refuse anywhere within <br /> the city. <br /> 3 <br />
